In the wonderful setting of the Romagna coast, on the Adriatic Sea, at 470mt above sea level, in a country named Torriana (near Rimini), stands the massive Due Torri Castle.

The Castle goes back to the Middle Ages, around 1141, when it was a property of the Church, and then became property of the Signory of the Malatesta till 1462, when Federico, Duke of Urbino, conquered it in the name of the Church. After a short period of Venetian rule at the beginning of the XVI century, the Pope Leone X enfeoffed the castle, which lost any military importance, to the Pio da Carpi. In 1608 Scorticata, was still owned by the Malatesta. After the Second World War it was a property of the town of Rimini and in 1967 the entire complex, ruined, degraded and abandoned, and all the surrounding lands were bought by a family of farmers from Rimini.
In 2000 the Castle was accurately restored and its magnificence was again established. It was transformed in a modern Restaurant with 450 indoor seats and 200 outdoor seats with an outstanding view. There is also a hotel with 13 rooms that need to be furnished, with bathroom and air conditioning facilities. Rooms can be added up to 70. On the first floor (of three) you can enjoy an extraordinary view, and there is the possibility to realise a Night Club with Dancing. The property has a surface of m² 3000, in addition to m² 60.000 of the surrounding lands adjoining the castle. Moreover, for any other investment and enlargement the European Community can provide grants.
